It is great to have my Alma Mater maintain its place as a helpful resource. Phil Margolis and I started the Webopedia in the mid '90s as the interactive, browser-based version of his book about computer terminology... the timing for our site was perfect - Phil was complaining that new terminology and definitions had changed before the ink dried on the preview copies of his book from Random House. A great resource and a silly name was born!
