Why Blog?

Why?

Well, let's give it a go and see... It's September 2000... Testing 1, 2, 3...

But it is not about me. It's about out there - and our reflections to learn how to be better people.

I appreciate Carl Sagan's perspective of seeing earth from 3 billion miles away in those "Pale Blue Dot" pictures - here is an excerpt:
"It has been said that astronomy is a humbling and character-building experience. There is perhaps no better demonstration of the folly of human conceits than this distant image of our tiny world. To me, it underscores our responsibility to deal more kindly with one another, and to preserve and cherish the pale blue dot, the only home we've ever known."
I will pursue this Blog with the same agenda (and odd punctuation) I have with everything ... helping people leverage Digital for a better Analog life.

Here is another relevant quote to kick things off in honor of a time when a "log" was written with pen and paper:

"To laugh often and much;
To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children;
To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others;
To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived.
This is to have succeeded."

- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Written 100 Years Ago in my town of Rockport, MA

Ralph was right about the Internet..."Curiosity is lying in wait for every secret."

Bonus... for support of our adventure:

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the conditions that surround him... The unreasonable man adapts surrounding conditions to himself... All progress depends on the unreasonable man."

- George Bernard Shaw

ONE LAST QUOTE:

See ya around the Web folks.
